Preshrinking freezer paper?
#41
Thanks for the replies everyone. I know SS is an excellent quilter and I can't fault her for that. I have just never heard of preshrinking until now. I still think that the shrinkage factor is too minimal to make a significant difference, so I think I will forge ahead with my Walmart brand freezer paper and live life on the risky side!

It's been some years ago that I bought the freezer paper. I did a search for the paper and followed the links. I believe it was a paper company in Ohio. I don't have the info anymore. There was a post on the board some years ago where to buy a ream of vellum at a clearance price then. I believe it was paperplus.com. I use the lightweight translucent white vellum. I ordered 2 reams of that and the order got mixed up and it was sent twice. The company said to keep the extra. I haven't needed anymore freezer or vellum since.

Onebyone, are you saying you use parchment paper that one would use for baking? I'm looking for a more economical way to begin paper piecing but I want the paper to be able to go through the printer I always buy it in the roll form, but it would be really nice to have it in precut sheets.
