    Default Pressing Blocks

Its been a while since I’ve made a quilt and I have pressed seams on the back of my blocks to one side but should I press the whole block from the front as well?

I do. I try to press along the grain lines to minimize distortion.

I do.I want it as flat as possible. I will sometimes use a piece of muslin as a pressing cloth - which I can give a quick spray of water to, to add a bit of steam (I use a dry iron). Often (imho) pressing only on the back will lead to seams not fully flat and "open" on the front. I also finish it off with a quick spray of starch

Sometimes I lay a square ruler over a block I've just pressed in order to make it lie flat. I leave it like that until the block has cooled.

I press the back and sometimes the front during the process if the seams don't want to press flat. Then once the block is done, I press it again after misting it so it's as flat as it can get.

I press from the front first, then spritz with Best Press, let dry a few minutes and press from the back. Works well.
