Cool quilt! the navy really punches up the design and gives it a lot of pizazz.

Very pretty. I just straight stitched quilting lines on a pinwheel quilt. I quilted right through the seam allowances like butter. I used a size 16 organ needle.

Good idea, Jingle-I will try a larger needle when it's time to quilt. Thanks!

It will be a very pretty quilt! I probably would not press open but to the side since it is a baby quilt that will see lots of wear.

Quilt top is completed! I pressed seams to the side when constructing the rows, and pressed the seams open when joining the rows together. I quilted straight lines 1/4" away on both sides of all seams with no problems. Hope to get get the faux piping binding on tonight. Thanks for all of your help!

jillmc - I really like your quilt! Great colors and pattern; very fresh & modern. The parents-to-be will love it!

Yes - pictures please! I like the modern color scheme and your addition of the navy fabric is perfect.
