Sorry, this is not the finished product. I quilted on all the squares diagonally so it looks pieced. They are 3" squares. My time spent - cutting to size, adding borders, pinning together, quilting diagonally, mitering corners (that was a bugger), self binding with the fleece. I knew it took a good share of a week but I don't keep track of the hours. I can't stay at the quilting part for a long period of time. I didn't expect to sell this one.

The price also depends if it is a friend or where you live. What do you think your time was worth? That is what I would ask plus the cost of fabric and thread. I never marked up my thread or fabric when I bought them wholesale.

But be carful that you don't leave pins in here. I did once. Not easy to get out.

Some people consider it to be a blanket if it only has 2 layers.
If you did a matrix pattern across a solid (cheater) top & then added the borders, I did something similar & it sold for $50. It was a cotton top with border, matrix quilting, W&N batting & flannel back.
Unfortunately, there is a flood of these types of quilts at craft shows & markets. I realized I actually make less money per hour making the "simple" quilts than making really elaborate ones that only appeal to a narrow market, but if your main goal is to make back what you spent & get a tiny stipend for your time, the good news is that these quilts are not terribly time consuming (1 week vs. the 1-2 months I spend on quilts with 10,000+ hand appliqued stitches and hand quilting on top of that). I sincerely hope you can get more for it. Quilters deserve far more than most people are willing to pay.

Very pretty. I give my quilts away and just happy to find them homes as opposed to just storing them. The only thing I consider a blanket is a fuzzy cover I buy at the store. Anything kind of a cover I sew together and quilt, I consider a quilt.
