Mine is a the same. I have printed pics on fabrics for a wall hanging for DD and he loves it. It turned out great.
Have been thinking about going this route. They have one on sale right now for about $60 that looks like it would work for me.

Yes, I would like to have the ability to print on fabric in case I want to at some point.

I have the HP photosmart C4280 all in one. It uses ink so fast it seems to run out every week. And it is expensive to buy new ones. The cartridges are very small but cost as much as my old copier with big cartridges. It did not come with and instruction book, you have to download it and it is almost 200 pages so did not do it.
    Dont buy one.

Everyone has their own opinion, and here's mine! I will NEVER buy another HP product. The ink is more expensive than other brands and the printers seem very temperamental. As another poster mentioned, customer service is in India and of course they all read from prescripted information so you rarely get actual answers to your questions. Although I cannot recommend a printer, at least I can give you my opinion of what NOT to buy!!! Good luck - printers are much cheaper now. My 4 in 1 printer was almost $400!!!

AMEN! HP-horrible product. customer service is just a stall tactic. brought the xlarge volume ink @ costco, just as bad as single serve. outrageously expensive, too. i have to say, the printer has been reliable, but in 1 to 1 1/2 years, i have spent the $99.00 cost of the printer many times over in cartridges.

That is how they make their money. The printers are cheap and the ink expensive. I had an old hp 895 for 12 years, loved it. I have an epson and it eats ink. My son gave me a cannon and it eats ink.
Guess that is what they all do now. I long for my old printer.

The HP all-in-one C4680 or the model before and after it are fine. I use about eight of them in my offices and at home with my quilting and embroidery software. No, I don't own any computer or electronics stock, I wish.

I have a Canon iP6700D. Love it. Individual ink tanks, which means you can completely use up the ink before replacing. I haven't printed on fabric, but photos look great. I do use it for iron-on transfers for photo quilts.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R800 and I LOVE it. I've had it for a long time. It prints beautiful photos BUT the BEST thing is that it will print directly onto DVD and CDs. YES, prints ON them (rather than printing onto labels)! Printable blank DVDs and CD are readily available. I burn all my favorite quilting shows onto DVDs and printing on each one is a get way to keep them organized.

hmmm, i have an hp deskjet and just love it. The ink is very inexpensive for this one. We used to use canon printers, and always after only one year the canons would need a new head i think it's called? But with the hp, each ink cartridge has it's own head, so each time you put ink in, you have a new head. I am also now making quilt labels with my hp. I'm not using photo fabric or anything like that. I put the fabric on freezer paper, and put it throgh the printer. Then i press it with the iron to set the ink. I have even tried pouring bleach on these labels, and the ink wont run. So im real pleased with my new way of making quilt labels.
