These pictures of your grands working on the quilt along each stage are going to be priceless!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, It makes me smile when I see how hard Isa is working on her block!!! She has done a very good job on it :D :D :D

I think you solved your own dilemma ... make the pieces bigger on the outside than they ask ... even those computer generated images have little mistakes ...
and, I agree .... no mistakes, just opportunities for creativity ... nothing spurs the imagination like actually getting your hands on an object and start trying to make it do what you want <g>.
still love your family plan/style ... it is a true gift of love you are sharing with your grandchildren ... those memories will never leave them (spoken as a grandchild who remembers all of those loved ones who had input into my life <g>).

My grandson is four and loves looking at quilt books with me! He tells me what colors and patterns he likes or not, then precedes to tell me which quilts and colors he wants. So far he has three and two WIPs. The very first quilt I made was for him and he is the only one with multiples. He has sat on my lap and I have let him help me by putting his hands on the fabric and mine over his as we feed the fabric.

It's pretty amazing that he is interested in my quilting because he is ALL boy. He loves his cars, trucks and SPORTS, but he also loves to cook, sew, and help "his" Nana!

Your GD is beautiful and so it the project you are working on with the kids. The wonkiness will just add personality to it and make you love it more. :D

Your GD is darling and I am so impressed by her
attention span. That is not an easy block but she
persevered and kept working. She must have a
good teacher!

He may have a mechanical gene/gift ... definitely a creative soul!
