I like the middle layout. My eye is drawn to the lovely log cabin block that you just finished and my eye stops right there. With it placed on the bottom row, my eye moves through the entire layout. Regarding the redo: I think it is just fine with the other blocks, but if you were going for stars...no I can't see them either. Did I say I love the log cabin? He he And the star on the bottom right? And the.... |

Wow Bev, your quilt is going to be marvelous!! The blocks already are. You do such great work; what an inspiration you are for us! My fav block is the fussy cut rose with the 9P corners.
I can happily report that I have maintained my goal of doing 5 blocks a day of the tshirt quilt. Petthefabric, thank you for your wonderful suggestion! Wouldn't I just LOVEEEE to have one of those machines. Sadly, there is no way my budget will stretch to allow for one, and even if it would, I just got the machine I have now a couple years ago, so no buying for me for a good long time. Actually, because I have an actual injury and permanent damage, I think no matter how wonderful a machine I have, handling the quilt will be a problem. Well, short of having the frame and long arm. LOL. But hugggggggs and big smilessssss for thinking of me!!! 5 blocks a day is a good goal! |
Pleased to report that I am one step closer to completion of my scrappy mystery train ride quilt. I finished the borders last night and laid it on the bed and I'm now happy with the size. Haven't decided on backing yet. May do fleece and no batting if I have enough of the brown fleece.

Kristakz,, that is so, so pretty.

Also got one step farther on some projects that will go in a friend's shop at a show this fall. Now all they need is the stuffing, but I'm going to wait on that till closer to time for the show so they don't take up so much room.

I'm making progress on my February UFO. My pink star just came off the long arm, and now just needs trimming and binding. I'm so happy with this - it is my first attempt at feathers since I got my long arm in July.

Eeeeeeek Krista! First attempt my you know what! Wow!
Can't wait to see what you "first attempt" next. @mom-6: Keep it up. You are on a roll. :) My binding is 1/2 done. It will be finished next weekend. And the "Quilt That Never Ends" is going back together. I have about 1/4 of the blocks put together. Did I tell you that all off the blocks where done and then I decided to change one of the colors? Yep, certified insane here. |
Krista--your "feathers" look good to me! :) Keep up the great work!!
I am on track to have my PC (Farmer's Wife Pony Club) quilt finished by the end of the month. I have a couple other little projects for retreat gifts to work on this month too. |
This morning I got the trim sewn onto 8 blocks of the tshirt quilt.

The UfOs I plan to finish up before I start a new project The first one is a quilt I started at the end of 2011 for myself, (that's why isn't finished). It is a Crazy Patch with Loralie machine embroidery designs. The 2nd I bought the book in 2004 to make a paper pieced pineapple block, started the blocks in 2011 and "HOPE" to finish it before 2014!!!
