That is what I was thinking, just make the same thing only on a smaller scale.

Must be the time for that. Im working on a quilt, shoulda made my HSt's 2 3/4 inch, I made 3 1/2, dont know what I was thinking!

I agree with the above quote. If it is possible you can add sashing to make it bigger.
