Flash drives and CD's are cheap. Just think of how bad you'd feel if you lost everything to a computer virus!

I have all my computer files and photos stored online. I can access them from any computer.
If my computer crashes I can restore the files. Google Cloud, ICloud, Amazon Cloud and other online storage is available. Picasa will upload all your photos to an online album. Every picture I take on my Iphone goes online for backup. You pay for internet let it work for you.

I definitely have a stash of quilt photos that I printed from Google and Flickr, and find it so much easier to leaf through them than to look at an icon on the screen and try to figure out whether it's worth opening or not. I'd be clicking all day. Much more relaxing to sit with a cup of tea on a Sunday morning. I also collect books - at latest count I have 137 to provide me with inspiration.

I store them online. No need to print them until I need them.

I'm with you. I have too many magazines and things I've printed. I just download them and leave them be until I need a pattern.

I download and save online and when I want them I send the file to my Kindle Fire. The Kindle is the same as having a book in my sewing room. I rarely print out patterns since I got the Kindle Fire. No paper to keep up with and lots less ink to buy. I love the technology we have now. It saves time and money when used right.

How do you save it to your Kindle? I would love to be able to do that. I just don't know how yet. Please explain. Thank you.

I've done a lot of that. But its because every quilt I do has been a different pattern.. So many to try I'll never get caught up :)

I do this incessantly! I spent most of one day this week sorting and hole punching a messy stack of printed-off patterns and images and ideas to put in a 3 ring binder I've now labeled Quilt Patterns & Ideas Book II! (That tells you I've already filled up Book I). If I ever get even half of these made, I'll be swamped in quilts. But I'm a little (a lot?) obsessive about saving, either on the computer or by printing out, a quilt photo or pattern I like.
