I'm not a scrappy person either, but I'm finding the more I see, the more I like...What you have done so far, looks great to me.....and it looks manly too...Keep going, keep posting, you are doing awesome!!

I'm also a scrappy fan and do lots of them. A suggestion as others have said, kind of tie it all together with a dark or black solid as in the sashing or borders. Keep going you're doing a great job!

Thank you everybody for your encouragement! That really helps :) I think I will try to keep the sashing similar...that will probably pull it all together for me.

squint your eyes and look at the fabric as light, medium and or dark and just go from there. If you look at the old scrappy quilts that we all love and admire you would think the person who made it was definitely color challenged.
Also look at scale. You just have to toss it down and start arranging and not worry too much about "matching"
Now I would not put a black and white poka dot in a woodland group of fabrics........don't sweat it. Stand back and take your glasses off if you wear them. Does any place stand out.....or if you don't wear glasses, then stand back and squint......Am I making my point?

Don't forget to throw in a solid or two somewhere in there. It keeps it toned down a little.
