I bet you just need new 'washers' in your hoses. Good luck.

Yeah, and my husband says I'M hard on washing machines! You win. Seriously, glad no one got hurt.

What kind was it? That is horrible. Some people have wm in their kitchens where kids and pets are around. Any idea what caused it?

Wow !!! Never heard of such a thing ! See, housework CAN be hazardous to our health ! Glad no one was hurt :)

In addition, LG is reimbursing us for the plumbing repairs to the faucets and lines attached to the washer. :)

I've never seen or heard of a washing machine blow up before but those pictures are scary!!!

My 2 year old front load washer broke a mounting arm while spinning and it was like an explosion. Scared the s**t out of me! All the pieces were contained by the metal outer housing, but it was full of shrapnel. Didn't miss it though, because it always had a bad smell that no amount of cleaning could cure.

you bought it because it can't hold as much and doesn't agitate as well? did i get that wrong?

Yes, my bad. I didn't get much sleep last night, due to heat, not machine. I was looking at another comment and replied incorrectly, thanks for catching that.

We bought the machine because it was bigger and holds more than a front loader. It also agitates better.
