Love the toilet paper, and the little pockets are awesome.
I think Geta is a member on the board. Does beautiful trapunto. I have done some cool embroidery on soap...well not on the soap really, embroider on water soluble stabilizer and net, rinse off WSS, wet top of soap and smooth the netting on...looks awesome. I really love the variety of your TP designs. What a great gag gift...I have to try this! Thanks for sharing! |

I've done some of the TP as gag gifts....for my Dad's wife who had been sick...running at both ends if you know what I mean, so I took her a roll that said "S*&T happens"...she loved it!

Well this 'ol Texan was born and raised in Texas right along with all our herfords and quarter horses! Every now and then one of those horses would rear up amd off I'd go!
Got right back on. I guess that be why I get right back at sewing whenever I mess up! And I never, ever saw toilet paper that was embroidered, that's about as cute as new born foal!! I just wondered who was the one came up with, "oh, I think I'll embroider some toilet paper today!" lol!! |

I like the origami folded pockets, myself. Just my preference because it shows more sewing. BTW, they're really cute!!

Texas embroidered TP has my vote for avatar!

The toliet paper is really neat, but love the little purses.
|
It is true, you have to be born in Texas to be called a true Texan, but a lot of people get here as fast as they can.

Oh my goodness I had no idea you could do this. do you display them on a bathroom shelf or something?
|
Although the mini origami purses are cute I would go with the toilet paper - you will have everyone that sees it curious about how you did it.
|
You are so clever and creative! I can "hear" the thoughts in the bathroom as one sees one of those rolls!!! LOL!
|
What a great gift for the person who has everything !

As a Texas love the toliet paper idea. How great to just have it sitting in the bathroom!

I like both and would also enjoy having the "how-to" for the origami pockets...I have some grands that would love those!
Oops! Sent it before I read all the comments! Thanks for the link! |
The toilet paper was a big hit with the red hatters a few years back.. I believe within a 2 week period I embroidered 4 dozen rolls. Anywhere from 6.00 to 10.00 dollars a roll. You can also embroider on bars of soap. Embroider some towels the soap and toilet paper, put in a cute basket , makes for a nice shower present. fun to do. when asked why would you embroider on those things my answer always was because you can. Put some in a gift shop and they also sell.

Now, I've seen everything!! Cool!

My avatar is also machine embroidered toilet tissue. "Friends are like quilts, they never lose their warmth". They are so much fun to do.

Yep - and even more fun to give! |
They are both cute. I did several toilet paper rolls at Christmas with little snowman. Wish now I would have kept one for myself or at least a picture.
