I ALMOST ALWAYS sew onto the front, turn to the back and hand stitch it down. I like how the seams disappear...after all that work on the top I don't want even 1 seam showing!!
It's not that much work...and the overall look it worth it. :-) |
i like the look of sewing on the front by machine, turning it to the back, and hand stitching.

I just learned how and that is exactly how I was taught.

I sew front to back, then machine stitch in the ditch. Usually turns out OK

I always do back to front and stitch down on the sewing machine using decorative stitching but I bet it would look just as nice from back to front.

If finishing by hand, I machine sew it to the front and hand stitch to the back. If machine sewing (never really happy with that, some quilts just gotta get done) I stitch to the back and turn to the front.

I prefer back to the front. Decorative finished can be put on the top whilst finishing.(I find hand stitching to the back boring as well as more difficult now that I have two numb fingers).Sometimes the choices are the simplest path.
