Dark blue!

The dark blue looks great

I think they're all nice options. Personally, I'd probably go with the backing fabric, but the dark blue is a nice option.

Use the dark or light for binding?

I think it will look nice using the dark blue (from the sashing) fabric for the binding but I know a lot of quilters prefer to use the fabric that is used in the outer border. I have 3 choices here--the dark blue from sashing, the medium blue small print from the border or the medium blue large floral print from the backing. I like all three but think the dark would make a nice "framing" to it.
This is only a portion of the quilt--it measures around 68x78. Thanks. Mariah. I love your quilt!! |
Your quilt is beautiful! I love the backing you chose. My vote would've the dark blue. It seems I always gravitate to darker bindings but whatever you do it is going to look awesome!

I vote for the dark blue as binding
|
I like the dark. Also you could make a flanged binding with just a small amount of the light showing & the dark as the primary. There's a tute on the board or Sharon scrumber(spelling?) has one on YouTube

I like the Darker Blue too....
|
I was one of those kids who always outlined the coloring in a darker color and color the shape in lighter, so I would go with the darker binding.
|
I personally think the darker blue would be the color I'd choose.

I like the dark blue...
|
I vote for dark blue.

Dark blue......
|
I would like a narrow strip of the red and then the dark blue. but that is me. Beautiful quilt!
|
I like the dark blue.....sets it off perfectly
|
I also vote for the dark blue.
|
Another beauty! I would use the darker blue myself.
|
I was wanting to say the same thing and thought everyone would think I was nuts. I like the way the yellow shows up all through the quilt here and there. It would make the quilt less predictable and give it some zing...or better yet, do a magic binding...there was a post here, where you put the yellow with the dark blue and use one for the tiny flange and major bind with the one not used.

I would choose the yellow fabric that is in the quilt for a binding. The blue is nice but really blends in too much for me. Just my opinion. The quilt is very nice.

I like the dark blue sashing fabric.

I think the dark blue would be perfect....

I like the dark best, I think it will draw your eyes best.
|
I like the dark blue

Dark blue! Either one would do but the dark blue frames and ends your quilt. JMHO

The large print second best. |
I prefer the dark blue, but dark pink would do nicely. My quilty mentor used to say that the binding is your last chance to make a quilt statement so don't skip over it.
