Lovely top and I like the first picture best because it doesn’t over power the top. Any of them would look good. I would calculate which one I had the most fabric for and do that.

I prefer the outside border red with the dark border between the varied shapes and the rest of the quilt.

I like 2 and 5 but prefer 2.

I love your quilt! #2 pulls the greys and #5 pulls the rust and greens. I like them both but I like the last one, #5 the better. I can't wait to see this quilt finished.

Is this a Bonnie Hunter pattern? Borders .... I would go with #2, with a few changes ...... * Make the gold border narrower, as in #5 * Broaden the rust/outer border Binding .... go with a flange binding in rust, and the flange in the green (or is it a grey?) Sitting here stunned with your quilt ..... the colours just happen to be "my" favourites, so it calls to me all the more!!! |
Thank you everyone for your kind words, feedback and suggestions, its so nice to be able to get input from so many wonderful more experienced quilters. I am still not sure which way I will go, I’m just happy to be at the finishing stage.
