i actually like the pinked ones- i don't have any problems lining them up & feel that i get a straighter, better seam when the pieces have a a pinked edge. also i don't have all those raveling edges on the back of my finished blocks to trim away/clean up later. Maybe because i've been sewing for so long and started constructing garments- i am used to the benefits of pinked edges so do not find them (strange) at all-

either way is Ok for me

Straight for sure!

Either is fine for sewing, but for storing, I'd prefer pinked. They stay so neat.

It doesn't even phase me when I am sewing charm squares with the pinked edges. I just sew my 1/4" from the hills. I just worked on a strip quilt that I used a Robert Kaufman Jelly Roll and strips that I cut myself. I didn't have any problems lining up the edges because the hills of the RK strip fit perfectly to the straight edges of my self cut strips.

Thanks everyone, for your input!

I definitely prefer the straight ones I cut myself to the pinked ones. I have bought a couple of charm packs and stored them. Fast forward a couple of years and they had to be trimmed down because the little points had raveled.
