Sorry you had a bad time. I like to play strip poker, it is much better than bingo. Only thing there you always have someone with short strips or you can use 5" blocks and some blocks turn out to be 4" or 4 1/2" blocks. There is always someone in a large group that will not go by the rules. Anyway if you would like direction on how to play I'll see if I have a copy of it and post it or send it pm to you.

That would be great. At first I thought you meant real "strip poker," as in take off your clothes. Then when you started talking about 5" blocks, I thought those might be the fig leaves. LOL

If you have the directions, I'd love to see them; but don't knock yourself out looking for them. Thanks.

There is a game out there called QUILTO. It is played like bingo, and has about 100 or more cards. The squares are quilting things like ruler, thread, HST, pattern, diffent block names, etc. We play in our quild. you can have at least 3 cards. Somethings you but the cards with fat quarters, then the FQ's are prizes for the winners.

When is it gonna be time to vote for your winning quilt???

IBQUILTIN 08-23-2010 03:35 PM

We had a challenge at our guild that was table runners. One of the gals turned in a little figurine and draped a 1x2 in piece of fabric on it, campained the meeting, and actually won the first prize. Many of us that had worked very hard and long on our table runners were miffed. I was one of them, and will not enter any more of their challenges if that is how they are judged. I know it was supposed to be a joke, but many had their feelings hurt. Actually, I am about "guilded" out myself.

Hmmmmm? Not sure what you're referring to. Maybe a different thread?

Well, I guess. I'd have been miffed too. If it was a joke, it certainly wasn't funny. What are people thinking?

No I'm on your side. It is no fun when people cheat and lie about wanting to have fun and get to know other quilters. They were like children who had to win no matter how they became the winners. Maby someone who is not playing could go around when someone calls bingo and verify that their material is or is not a winner.

Cheating is lying Can't either.

I like the idea but you need to change the rules a bit. Have every one make their own card and donate a piece of each fabric they used. Then there can be no cheating because the fabric has to match.
