i agree, connecting threads has nice kits..
http://www.connectingthreads.com/Quilting.cfm i made a tree skirt out of a kit from thre a few years ago. they are very generous with thier fabrics in kits..(for errors! lol) i would start there. usually they have a color fabric guide with it, to help you know which fabrics get cut to that spec. free shipping if you spend $50.00 thier thread is great too. |
I don't know if you want a kit just for ease of choosing fabrics or because you can't find a pattern you like but I've made several christmas tree skirts out of tablecloth patterns. Mine have been square, octagonal, etc. But they usually feature a "center" type pattern that works well for removing for the tree skirt. Maybe not what you're looking for but I thought I'd put it out there.
Good luck in your search. Oh, and I've ordered from Connecting Threads and they are great. |
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!
laughingquilter - sorry I thought I mentioned that I felt I should look for a kit cuz I am a beginner LOL Thought it would be harder to mess up a "kit" than using a pattern. Thanks again everyone - always great and helpful suggestions!! |

they sell just the pattern for the tree skirt, if you want to get your own different fabrics!
