I received this from a group today. It was information provided by a lady who spoke to a representative of the Olfa corporation. This is what he told her.
"He told me the maintenance is simple: #1. after cutting a project (or at least once a month), wipe off any fuzzies or debris from the mat #2) then wipe down the mat with a mild soap and water solution - dish soap in warm water is perfect and a sponge with a scrubbie side dipped into the soapy water and wrung out well will really do the job #3. wipe dry." |

I use a nylon scrubbie or the edge of my 5" inch plexiglass ruler. That works really well and is tough enough it doesn't chip or break. Once a month or so, I use a mild soap and water and dry off.

A nylon scrubber is my choice too.

Mine was over 7 years old and shot. I wanted a new one. For my B-day my Mother in law gave me a new one and it is the big one! Self healing. Love it! She and I are the only sewers in the bunch. She is giving me her Janome embroidery machine when she is done with it. Exciting, except it's in the will. I'd rather have her alive longer than Wanting the machine! LOL....

Those microfiber cloths do a really good job cleaning up the fuzz when they're wet!

I save scraps of warm and white/natural to wipe off my board. They seem to pick up the strings and really help clean out the "grooves".

Pam! You didn't pour me one, too??? Shame on you!
