At first I wasn't overwhelmed by the disappearing nine-patch, until I found someone using only three fabrics instead of nine. THIS is stunning:

I used three colors for one I did a while back, My oldest DGD gave it to her other Grandma after she lost her DH right before Thanksgiving. I posted pictures of it on here.
