Absolutely it works. Just use the cook cutter as you would any other pattern you find that you want to applique no matter whether you do needle turn applique, freezer paper, wonder under or use interfacing or dryer sheets.

This is exactly what I've done with great success!

They are very good templates.

cookie cutters, coffee filters, coloring book pages. Anything goes when you are looking for just the right character and can't draw or draft like me-

Neat ideas everyone!

These are great ideas! I guess you can trace coloring book pictures and draw around cookie cutters to make your own one block pantographs for a longarm as well.
|
I use them all the time. You should see my collection of cooky cutters - for someone that doesn't bake anymore.

You can also find coloring pages on the internet. Just google free coloring pages and you will get several different ones. You could also make printable fabric and print the design right onto the fabric and skip the tracing step if they are simple things like stars, circles etc. I think I'm going to be looking for these.
