Congratulations on your well-earned prizes! Which County Fair did you enter your quilts in?
Today I just went to my county fair (Erie county, NY) and there were a lot of beautiful quilts.
And while there were few entries in garment sewing, one certainly caught my eye. It was a christening gown, made from the train of a bridal gown. (The entry was accompanied by a picture of the bridal gown.)
I entered the Huron County Fair here in Ohio. Funny thing was, at the end of judging they narrowed down 3 for Best of Show over all and all 3 were mine! The one chosen is a Original design Memory quilt (king size) - 12 in blocks and all set in white background. Each block depicts a favorite thing, event or hobby in my life. My first real quilt.
