For mine, regular shade, ironed flannel on with wonder under or something like it. Hubby made cover from an $8.00 piece of fake crown molding. Shade brackets are mounted on small pieces of wood to allow for extra clearance from the wall.

Where did you get your printed flannel?

I got mine at www.cottonclub.com, but you can Google "Flannel with a grid" and see what comes up.

I really want to do this too....and somewhere I saw one that was attached to a shade that looked like plastic bamboo slats. They covered it completely but I dont know how they attached it to the blind. Adhesive or maybe a long runnig stitch? And of course I cant find it now. Anyone have one like this?

I made one by simply hanging a new, flannel backed table cloth, to the closet door....I fastened it on the back with thumb tacs...........it works, and if I need to take it down, no problem.....plus it cost a dollar, for the tablecloth from the dollar store...

I wonder if double-sided tape would work well for this?

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm sorry I didn't write back sooner. I've never used a message board before so I thought it would take weeks to get a reply! I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I think I'll look for a heavy duty shade with a draw string on the side to make mine. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
