Just finished putting the binding on my storm at sea last night... loving it!
Quilt is for my our bed, wool and a cotton batting, nice and warm for WI winters!

I know I can get a block pattern for Storm at Sea, but I'm interested in the kit I posted the picture of. Don't think there would be a free pattern for that, is there?

Do you have electric quilt? If so you might be able to work it up in that.

I tried calling the shop and they had sold out of the kits. I don't think the girl I spoke to really knew anything about it. She kept telling me it was a free Moda pattern, but their kit listing mentions including a book and I can find nothing on the Moda site.

Is anyone else having any better luck finding this pattern - free or otherwise?

did search garden party +storm at sea and found a book called "a new light on storm at sea quilts" by wendy mathson. this might be the one but hard to tell if this specific pattern is included. looks like a good book though.

Thanks, pd! What a fun way to preview a book! Now I'll look on Amazon. So many neat ways to use the block.
