I love my sleep too, but I went last year for the first time in years. I waited til about 10 a.m. and my first stop was JoAnn's!
The lines to get fabric cut were very long, I don't remember buying fabric, but I got great deals on baking stuff and notions. I'll probably go again this year, about the same time again. Honestly, I remember most shoppers being in good moods last year, no rudeness, or if they were, it didn't get in the way of my holiday happiness.

Grocery shopping is good on Black Friday. Most everyone else is at the mall. (I hate crowds)

I will stay home and sew on a new mystery quilt

Thanksgiving is at my son's. Grandkids will come home with me to spend night so they can help decorate one of my trees on Friday. They are 7 and 6. They started helping me decorate the living room tree 3 or 4 years ago. Has been fun seeing how much higher they hang ornaments each year :P

I try not to do ANY shopping till January. I can't stand all the crowds and long lines.
And can someone explain why, if a store has 12 registers, they only have 6 of them open during the Xmas rush??? :?

I used to go shopping on Black Friday years ago, no more. Don't want to take a chance on getting trampled just for a few dollars off.
Many stores are staggering opening hours now, that may help some, and others are giving out vouchers to those in line (best buy) for certain items, I feel for anyone past the last voucher as they have probably waited for hours to get that item.
It's not worth it.

Nope, I stay out of stores that day.

There are 2 days out of the year I will be at home. Day after Thanksgiving and day after Christmas. I can't afford to save all that money.
