I am with you bj...same for me!

I pin any seams that need to be matched within the block and then when joining the blocks, adding sashing, borders, etc. Pretty much I stick a pin where I want to be sure that the seams match.

I always pin. If I don't things shift on me and then my edges don't line up straight and I have to take it apart.

I pin whenever I need too.

Usually when it involves matching seams I pin. That and when I do sashings and cornerstones.

I pin at all intersections where I want the seams to match. Otherwise, I sometimes do and sometimes don't.

sometimes I pin A LOT, and sometimes I don't pin at all. Depends on the project and how well the seams need to match up

I am probably the queen pinner, I guess it comes from my garment making days ....

I rarely pin, but I've been sewing and quilting for at least 35 years. I do match the seams. Actually, I match the first seam crossing, and when the needle gets to the seam, I stop and match the next seam. I do this with every quilt and when I make clothing.
