There's something called "oops" that I got at the hardware store to get paint out of clothes. It worked good on latex but i don't know about acrylic.

Here's an article from www.ehow.com. The solution is 2 tablespoons ammonia, 2 tablespoons white vinegar, and 1 tablespoon salt.

It says to scrub the offending spots with a toothbrush with the solution. Then you can mix up more of the solution and soak the item overnight. This process should only take once, but it can be repeated until the paint is gone.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. This paint was dry on the quilt long before I ever saw it. I tried the alcohol first and it did bring some of it out but also made it bleed a bit. I also tried about every kind of stain stuff I have in the house. I have to give up for now because we are heading out of town in an hour to pick up my son who got the paint on the quilt. One thing I could do is sew a new white block to cover this one and then figure out how to hand quilt to match the rest. I'm sure if I gave it to my MIL to fix she would do it but I hate to have her see what has happened to her precious work.
