Cathy,
The 3 hour class I took was at the dealer where I purchased my machines and software by a Floriani certified instructor. The second class I took was the Floriani webinar class called "Software is installed, Now what?" that webinat class SHOULD be posted now, have not checked lately, but I need to. In the wbinar class I took it was ONLY suppose to be an hour but Walter "pulled" rank and went into over time. Not sure the webinar posted for that class will have the extra time or not.

Quilty, I have this as well. Was it the webinar offered by Walt that you attended? I have attended one and the last one in May was cancelled. Bummer because it appeared to be a good overview. Do you use the Forums on the Floriani software site? I've been able to find solutions to my problems already answered there and, if not, the moderators are usually very helpful, Chris in particular. I find the help desk less helpful.
I feel I have a pretty good handle on editing designs but not so much on actually starting from scratch, other than creating applique or text for labels. I "play" with it while watching television with DH. Cathy |

Wow I just found this new thread and it's already booming. I have the baby lock elegante2 and love it for embroidery. Not to happy with it for quilting though. I just cannot for the life of me machine quilt on it. It never looks good, like the fabric doesn't want to feed through it and yes I use the walking foot. I always have to quilt on my trustee elna

I am very glad to see this thread. I have been doing ME for about 2 years and I feel addicted. I love baby designs and would like the craft show outlet for an excuse to do more. Looking forward to sharing tips, sources, and seeing pics.

For a good view of machine quilting, check out the pictures of this quilt from yesterday's digest:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t194209.html and then view both sides of the quilt. Outstanding!! The back of the quilt is as beautiful as the front. I don't think she says she used the quilting design in a hoop, but her stitching is so precise and identical, I think this to be true. Correct me, if you find otherwise. Regardless, check out this wonderful quilt. The maker says she is a beginner. Oh, I should be so talented!!! |
