In the future, if you need to deactivate EQ5 on a computer you can call and they will do it for you. EQ6 has the limited installs, and you have to pay for any extras, but EQ5 does not. I'm pretty sure it only has the stipulation that you can only activate it on 2 different computers. I had a computer crash and I'm pretty sure I had EQ5 at the time. I called and they deactivated it on my crashed computer (since I couldn't do that) so that I could install it on the new one. Which wasn't actually a new one, but rebuilt.
I did not, and never would have bought EQ6 due to the limited activations. Luckily EQ listened to customers and changed that in the new version. |
@ Gale, post# 11: Thank you for this info. I will keep it in mind. The way everything gest auto upgraded and 'improved' the more complicated things get.
