What is you're favorite pattern to quilt and why?

Mine is the dresden plate, because it looks so classic, and fun. It reminds me of my great grandmother.

Hi sweetpea 13; welcome to the broad
|
I would have to say log cabin, then dresden plate. I just love the neat colourways you can get with traditional patterns. I have done several log cabins and each one is different, between the block layouts and the colour choices, it's a new experience everytime. Welcome to the board from Ontario...you'll love it here, from the support and encouragement, right down to the inspirations.

Hard to pick a favorite. Stack'n'whack - love the surprise with every block; log cabin - easy, classic, versatile; bargello - challenging
|
Hard to pick but a DP9 when I get around to it .

Whatever catches my fancy at the moment... I'm excited about it. If I chose a favorite and made it often... I'd be sick of it, LOL

Mine is broken dishes, such an old pattern and so quaint!

I'm assuming by "quilting pattern" you mean blocks, not the actual quilting pattern you do once the quilt sandwich is prepared? I like most blocks. Nine patch and snowball are two of my favourites used together, and I also like Buckeye Beauty and Jewel Box.
