The ad states that it is a 99 "Specifically, this is a Singer Model 99K13" so why did you think it was a Featherweight?
You might want to look at the little pdf I made up with some of the more popular old Singers to help with identification. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-48622-1.htm |
A 99 is the heaviest little machine you'll ever own!!! It is a 3/4 sized machine and is great for mending and doing blocks on but I would not want to do a full sized quilt on one!!
I have enough fun doing a king sized quilt on a Model 15 but that will be the only machine I FMQ on!! Billy |
Billy,
you are the greatest when it comes to Vintage Sewing Machines!

I don't know - I think the 185 weighs even more than the 99 - very deceptive to see that small machine and then try to pick it up! Shocking unless you are prepared...
