no, mine are grown and for the most part are doing good, I'm dreading the just turned 18 yo daughter leaving home... you reach a point where you look at them and wonder WHERE ALL THAT TIME WENT! Oh ant to keep on topic... boys like the frayed ragged jean look, and from experience, deep down those "too cool" dudes really melt when Mom makes them a quilt... Colisa |
I too have made a quilt using both fabrics. The only thing I would add to the answers you've gotten so far is to wash both fabrics first. That way any future washing won't affect the quilt.
I am a pre washing fanatic anyhoo. But I have seen issues with non washed fabrics, besides it making me cough and sneeze when sewing or sitting beside someone with unwashed fabric. Classes are a challenge for me, I always cough and sneeze throughout the class. |

Colisa I have been told Echoes that flannel is bad for shrinking. So I was planning on pre-washing it, especially since I am putting it with already washed denim. You must have allergies to cotton or polyester 'fuzz'! |

Thanks all. I thought about a rag quilt. It's for my teenage son and quilts are not 'cool'. I'm afraid he won't like the 'frills' on a rag quilt. But I know he'll like the flannel.
