That was actually a concern of mine! I probably should review more frame FMQ videos. I found a book amongst all the extras by Linda V. Taylor about long arm quilting. Since my machine is not a long arm, I'm not sure how much of it will apply, though.

I absolutely will not be afraid to mark my quilt! That will be a must. What do you use to mark your quilts?

Can you tell me the right tension or speed control setting for the frame. I don't have a stitch regulator and it keeps nesting in the plate. Not one stitch done on the frame yet, need some help to be able to use it. I bought the same set up of grace queen frame with juki tl2000q.

I practice on Felt pieces, you can cut your own (or I bought some from Amazon). Close enough to sandwiches w/out the pinning.

sewbizgirl, you were correct the first time. It is Angela Walters.
Don't overlook Harriet Hargrave as an instructor of FMQ, and an expert teacher of all subjects under the heading of Quilt. |
I have the same machine (love it) but not the frame.
I would say Leah Day- she's really good and she doesn't rush through. She goes at my speed :) |
Oh and congratulations!!!

Congratulations.
My advice is to first take a LA Class at the LQS. Then start exploring. Mike |
I get the Handi Quilter newsletters with minute motifs & I've taken courses by Christina Carmelli who is very good & makes the learning fun. I have also done studies of portions of quilts online in various places that I liked the looks of & practiced that design in a doodle until I was confident. FMQ is like doodling. Jump in & have fun!!
