I turned my foot pedal around the other way and press it down with my heel instead of my toes. It doesn't wander away from me in this position.

I have a bin of fabric tucked under my sewing table and the foot pedal is right up against that.

turn it upside down

I had tried to use the shelf liner, but it still would try to crawl away. So, I wrapped the entire foot with the shelf liner and so far it is working great. It has not escaped once.

Our church organist had the same problem with the pedal to the electronic keyboard. One of the guys in our choir took a 1/4" piece of plywood, cut it into the shape of a foot, stained it, glued rubberized shelf paper on the back, placed the foot control on the 'barefoot' cutout, placed trim around it in an upside down "U" shape, slid the foot pedal into it and it worked like a charm.

mine does too--but i can't get used to it... how did you conquer the 'old habit' with the foot?
