if there is enough basting then you can roll from both ends evenly. it will look like a scroll. put one roll under the machine. the other roll is on a table or some other support. with me?

now....start quilting from the center toward the scroll under the machine until you get to the end. you're half done. remove.

re-roll and this time put the other roll under the machine. again, starting from the center, quilt out to the end of the roll that's under the machine. voila! it is complete.

this is an alternative method to buying THAT frame if you have to do heavy basting anyway. or if you have any doubts. with this method you can quilt a large quilt with a little man-handling. if you have extra tables set up at your work station it makes a huge difference.

i did a 96 x 96 before i bought my longarm, and i only used a regular janome, no 'deep throat'.
