I bought my Super Slider at a quilt show in Lowell, MA, from it's creator, Pat ?. She was wonderful to talk to and the demo machine she had it on was the same machine I own. She showed me a couple of great tricks and that was to turn my tension knob to the 9 o'clock position, and put the machine at 1/2 speed, and that was a tremendous help! I paid $30 and don't regret the price at all.
The Super Slider sticks to the machine with some type of static and removes easily with no residue. The hole is a wide oval so it works with many decorative stitches too. Mine covers the whole machine bed. I am not great at FMQ and use a pattern , and my biggest problem is that I don't have a stitch regulator, which would really make a difference because I have not mastered even stitching just yet. My machine is also not embedded in a table, which is my next purchase! Diane |
I have a Sew Slip. It costs $28.95, but I bought it at a show from a local vender who gives a 20% discount to guild members. It clings and also protects my extension table from scratches.
