I had a quilt that my Grandmother made for me around the 1930-40's. She made wedding ring quilts for each of her 5 grandchildren. I kept it nice while growing up, but when I married I began using it and eventually it was worn out. How I wish I had known the importance of not using it regularily. I would still have had that particular one. I do have a couple that my husbands Grandmother made, but that'snot the same as the one made especially for me. :-( :-(

I haven't talked to any of my aunts for ever and one of my aunts gave me a call over the weekend and she has a quilt that my Mom made and she wants me to have it. It brought back many memories and it made me cry to know that at least one quilt she made is still around. The one I had was burnt in a fire in our house many years ago. I can't wait to go get it this weekend.
