I'm thinking of getting a frame that will work with my sewing machine. So many companies and choices! Any advice? It's almost too much info to search through on the web.
Oh yes...it might help to add, my machine is a Janome 4800. |

Babeegirl I looked at this one on-line I'm not ready at all for this but for the price you can't beat it. |

Rose Marie -
Why do you say "don't go that way" about the Flynn frame? It LOOKS like it would work well |
I have a HandiQuilter2 and I love it! I use a Juki machine which has a 9" throat. I've heard lots of good things about the Grace frames too.

i am waiting to hear what rose marie has to say i was thinking about buyng one myself
|
this is the kind of feedback I was hoping for:) seems like every company says their product is the best, but what counts the most is what real quilters think about the product. Rose Marie, can you give some specifics on your experience with that frame?

I'm also researching to find plans to make a "homemade" frame and what all it would take.

babeegirl...I like the reviews, etc on the HQ machine..but, the reviews on the their frames need a bit of tweeking. There is a forum on yahoo you can catch up n the reading there. My neighbor has a janome on the Gracie frame...which is what I am thinking of doing. So, cool!!:))I have the janome 6600...and, I can't remember the size of hers...it is inthe ads you see w/the janome w/the purple turn knobs, etc (anyone know?) I personally like the carriage better on the gracie. Just MHO there:))Keep us posted on what your decision is and I hope more respond w/their opinions...they are all such a great big help!! Skeat
