We have a Goodwill pickup box in our town but no store, I used to shop at the Goody store when I was 16 and a newly wed, We would take my mother in law to Stockton ,Calif and shop for her , she had several little girls, no money then on to Sallys , this was before Garage sales at the local churches,we loved it , and today I still shop at St Vincents , I work there and put out real cheap yarn and materials, lots of polyster and a few pieces of cotton, you never know the jewels you might find shopping the second hand stores, :thumbup:

Goodwill doesn't seem to carry alot of Fabric but I have found alot at Salvation Army, Church Thrift Stores,
but at Goodwill according to Bonnie Hunter you buy the XXL or so Shirts take off the cuffs,collar,pockets,throw them away than cut off the sleeves,by the time your done you could have about 2yds or more of fabric,Im going to give it a try

I never did realize how much interest my msg would show.
The Goodwill pound store is off I-10 and Edgewood St on Lenox Ave and open about 9 am until 3 and then Sat until noon. They roll out bins on and off while your there, different items, some new with tags on like jackets, blouses, men's pants and etc. There are shelves with bins that have other items like knick knack, kitchen items, toys in bins, shoes several bins some new and several bins of books. You need to try and get a grocery cart to shop, some times you have to ask someone checking out for their cart when they are finish with it. On thrift stores look at hanging sheets and you will find pieces of material. I have also gotten curtains or valances and taken them apart and used the material for my quilt. So many things you can do with what is available. Just think QUILT when you shop, maybe a cotton large skirt with a wonderful pattern, cheap, can be washed and then open seams and let your mind go dancing...
