The other day my bobbin thread wrapped around the wheel on the side & pulled off about 3/4 of a new cone of thread into a big bird's nest before i even noticed....another waste of thread!

I seem to get those lovelies when I am sewing over the speed limit!

Ooops. Time for a "scarlet O' Hara" moment. I'll think about it tomorrow.

as far as FMQ ..... there is nothing to fear but fear it's self..... and on the up side - spagettie like that is easy to remove.

Oh that looks so familar...I now use the gene bobbin and also make sure my bottom thread is pulled to the top of the quilt...doing these two things have made the bobbin nests go away....I remember how wonderful my quilt looked untill I turned it over...good thing its pretty easy to rip them out but ohhh the thread waste.

I know what you mean. I am just going through that right now. I spent 5 hours cutting threads from tangled up fabric.

Or your needle wasn't in correctly....don't ask me how I know that one.

Shame you couldn't have that on top for an embellishment. Hmmm, could be interesting.
