One guild used to meet in the town museum. When it got too big we moved to the VA Hospital's auditorium. The other guild meets in the town hall.

I belong to several different guilt guilds that meet in churches.

One particular group makes a guilt, sometimes two different sizes, as a group. This guilt is then raffled by the church in the community. The proceeds raised from the raffle pay the room rental for the year. It ends up being a win-win situation. The raffle proceeds bring in more than the nominal fee for room rental.

Check with your local library or senior center as possibilities.

We are currently meeting in the local Senior Center. It's nice, because it's open to the public!

We meet at the Adult Center (Senior Center). Have a large room once a week but it is not free.

for our regular meetings we meet at a church, but we have been able to use a training room at a bank for our workdays and special teachers - lots of tables, outlets, etc. and since we're a non-profit it's no charge to us. Check with businesses and company's in your area and stress that since you're doing charitable work they MAY be able to get some credit (tax and otherwise) for helping in this way. Many companies have training areas that go unused a lot.

Our guild meets at the fire rescue satellite office training facility once a month for reg mtgs and twice a month for sit and sew. We donat a quilt to them to raffle off to cover the use. Has worked very well for almost four years. There are about 26 active members.

Ours used to meet at one of the Veteran's Memorial halls owned by the County, but then the County stopped renting them out. So now we meet in a meeting room at a large indoor Swap Meet here in town. It's pretty nice...lots of space, a stage, and they have given us a closet for storage. We have almost 300 members, and have 1 day and 1 night meeting each month.

My smaller guild used to meet at a church, but now we meet at the local senior center. We also use a local home for seniors for sewing on comfort quilts. The larger guild meets at the Scottish Rite auditorium. Another local guild meets at a fabric shop. (Now that's dangerous!)
