Something I did with hankies was to make valances for my kitchen windows. They were really pretty.

You're so lucky! I love old linens and have a few from my DH's grandmother and from my grandmother. Yours look almost new. If you decide you don't want them-----send them my way.

I have seen some lovely aprons made from the old tablecloths. Very unique and clever.

What a gift! You are lucky and will have a blast going thru all of this. I am making a quilt with my Grandmother's old hankies. If you need a place for overflow, just let me know!

Wow those hankies are beautiful I am collecting old hankies for a quilt and it will be based around my grandmothers int eh center, now to find ones like you did and I can move forward on my project.

Your story brings me a memory, My Mom and her mother and sisters and sisters in law, always used to send each other a card, birthday, Mothers day or ??? and included a letter and a hankie, They were so pretty, and made my mom so happy to open them. Wonder who got them, not me. That was many years ago. Have fun, and be sure and post some Pic and show us what you do with them. Rita
