I've used Mettler. It was one of the first embroidery threads along with Sulky that I used, but when it comes to quilting I have mostly used Aurifil--I've tried Guderman but it broke so much that I use it only for bobbins now and when I practice FMQ.

I've never used Mettler. Just one piece of advice, though, When using any thread that throws off a lot of lint, just be sure to clean your machine, particularly around the bobbins, bobbin case, etc. A buildup of lint can bring your machine to a screeching halt, or cause other problems, breaking thread, etc. That buildup of lint is harmful to your machine!

Many people praise Aurafil. I won't use it as it breaks too easily and is linty.

Mettler is top quality, but I don't usually buy it because of the price.

Mettler is good thread.

Mettler threads are very good. I've used the cotton threads for my quilts and poly thread for when I make garments.

I have used Mettler Silk Wrapped thread for over 20 years. It is what my Bernina dealer recommended for me to use when I bought my DSM. I have never had a problem with the thread, doing both piecing and quilting with it. I was finally able to have my baby serviced and the technician once again said it is the best thread to use on my Bernina 1530.

I have used Mettler and like it-Bernina recommends Isocord.
