That sounds like my kind of plan!

Absolutely, you need it! Don't you need a back-up for your back-up?

Has there ever been one of those hoarder's shows that included sewing machines? I don't think so, that's justification to me!

not hoarding when it is "tools"

O.M.G.!!! GO BACK!! Get that "small black walking foot"!!!!! That sounds like a Penguin, and they're rare!! If you have to buy the whole machine, do it! April1930's lists one for sale at $600!
As for using the zigzagger on your other machines, all you need is a dog cover plate, and most of the zigzaggers have one...if not, it's not hard to get one! ~holding my breath~ Well, you can stop holding your breath.I looked up 'penguin walking foot,' and unfortunately the one with this machine is not one. Now that I know what it looks like, I'll be on the outlook for one. This one is just a small black one that has a rounded back-end rather than a squared off one. Does anyone have one like this? I'm quite sure it was a Singer part as the box bottom it fit in is a Singer box, no top. I did call and left my number to see if they'd go down on the price of the machine. If and when they call, I'll tell them what I think is wrong with the machine and see what they say. Right after I got my each of the other two vintage machines, I saw the same items that I got in a lot worse condition. I'm thinking that maybe the reverse will work. Now maybe I'll find a 15-91 in better condition. I'd rather have a portable one, as space can be an issue in a small house. We'll see. And the machine is still there... |
Thanks Janis!! Purple is not my best color!!
