I've used this site since 2005 to purchase many things. I will say that all the stores in the network have easy ordering and fast shipping. I agree that this is a great way to introduce yourself to online quilt shops however there is no perfect online quilt shop for everyone..only people's experiences and opinions. You need to check out prices for equal type fabrics and shipping methods you are happy with. There have been numerous threads on this topic. You will get as many opinions for and against various shops. Bottom line is quality, price and shipping that makes you happy. There is a difference in methods of shipping and their pricing. I for one prefer priority and don't like the sites that have a price for regular shipping determined by amount of purchase and then if you want priority or 2 or 3 day shipping they charge their regular (amount of purchase) plus the method of shipping you prefer. Many people here want the cheapest method possible and that works for them. It doesn't work for me. |
I have ordered on line before, and everything was okay. Keepsake Quilting is a great place. But the biggest problem for me is that I like to touch the fabric and check it for machine flaws before I purchase it. Also like my Grandma, I look at yard sales and thrift stores for all cotton shirts and remnants that people have tossed out.

Love these guys. I am close so I don't have to order but get to visit. |
The Cotton Loft http://www.quiltingcotton.com/ prices can not be beat! I know a while back they were slow to ship because they were inundated by the board because Patrice posted about them. But I just ordered recently and had my order within a week! All of the fabrics were LQS quality! 1 yard minimum but after 1 yard you can order in quarter yard increments
I also like thousands of bolts http://www.thousandsofbolts.com/ Full yard cuts only Fabric Depot but they do seem to take a bit longer for me because they are on the other side of the country http://www.fabricdepot.com/ Some of the closeouts have a half yard minimum. Fabric depot is a little pricier then the others but they have a wonderful selection and the closeout areas are more then fairly priced with Batiks at $6 per yard. If you catch them during a sale you can get their regular batiks at between $7 and $8 per yard. Right now they are having a superbowl blow out sale with a bunch of gorgeous batiks at $5.50 per yard. GROAN And I have also had good luck at Whittles http://www.whittlesfabrics.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi |

prices start at $2.99. you have to look for the $2.99 ones. shipping is cheap. |

By signing up for these shops newsletters, I get emails announcing their sales/specials  :D:D:D

I am a fan of Marshall's Dry Goods in Batesville, AR. Have shopped on-line as well as made trips to their store. Love their store, it is like dying and going to fabric heaven.

Here are some sites I know of. I have just bought fabric from Maloufs fabrics and they were reasonable and fast!
www.maloufsfabrics.com www.seawatchfabrics.com www.burkholders.com www.fabricshack.com We need to have a comprehensive list for everyone. I have found other sites when searching for a specific fabric. Hopefully I have spelled all these right Lynda |
http://craftconn.com <- Craft Connection. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.
