light blue gets my vote

what about white

How about red around the blocks and cream for the larger sashing between your 14" blocks. It would help the crumb blocks pop!

AnitaSt,
I see red as the dominating color. Were it me, I would try looking for a white with a tiny or small overall red pattern - something that gives the appearence of being red but not in a strong or dominating way. Good luck. And I hope you post a photo of the completed quilt top. This sure is pretty so far. best, d |
I would use a gray sashing - but like someone else suggested I would have to take a bunch of the blocks to get the right shade of light gray....

I think your hubby has it right. Red jumps out at me.

first color i c is red but imho that would be too much red.... i always go to black !!!!
|
Red is what I see first, then maybe the narrower dark blue as a secondary.

Help me pick a color please
Greetings from sunny Sun City Arizona
I too see red, but there is a lot of dark blue also. In checking over the squares, I agree with the suggestion of tan, but I think you should us a tan on tan, or cream on tan because of the few squares that are tan. This would be the color to use around the squares. For the borders you definitely could go with reds and blues. Great squares, looking forward to seeing it finished. God Luck in choosing! Pam |
How about a four patch in red and blue for the corner stones. And blue and white sashing.
|
It looks to me like you have enough suggestions to thoroughly confuse you, so I won't add another!
|
I love the variation in your blocks but I would have either cream or off white to make the colours pop. I feel either red or blue will over power it. Good luck.
|
i see red first, too. Have you thought about a neutral for the sashing, like cream or tan?
|
For me, I like a medium blue for the sashing and a red binding. For a border fabric, I suggest a medium/dark blue. You have so many great colors to draw from. I am sure it will turn out just fine. Great job. GiGi

how about black and white?

Count me in with the reds -- and can I tell you, that doesn't happen very often with me!
