May I suggest you rethink using cheap fleece? Sometimes the cheap stuff stretches waaaaaaaaay too much. Usually, it's thin. And generally it doesn't hold up well. While I might use it for batting, I'd sure not use it for a tied blanket.

Now, if you can find good quality fleece for a cheap price------GO FOR IT!

Just Google "cheap fleece fabric" and you can gets lots of results. Saw one there for Corinthian Mills who have sports prints.

Booklady your suggestion was OUTSTANDING. I went to Corinthian Mills and not only did they have fleece at $4.25/yd and 60" wide BUT - they had footballs on a purple/white backgorund - our school colors!!! Now crossing my fingers to see if they have enough.....
