How big was your first quilt? What was the pattern? Do I dare to ask? How long ago was that?

Mine was a queen size stack and whack.

My first quilt is bigger than twin but smaller than full size. It's a double Irish chain I started in 1979 and finished in 1999.

I started my first quilt at 16 and it was made of 9" Monkey wrench blocks made up of scraps, beige sashing and scrappy corner stones. I used a yellow rose sheet on the back and tied it with yarn. It was single bed size and didn't get a lot of use until I was 33 and had a little girl who needed a quilt for her big bed as her new little "brudder" needed her crib. Right now that quilt, a little worse for wear is in the big chair in the rec room and is still used every day. Poly/cotton really does wear well!

my very first quilt that was bigger than a barbie doll blanket was a scrappy quilt made from drapery fabric samples my granny brought home from the Ben Franklin store where she worked. It was full size and weighed about 200 pounds as just the top!

Book was Keepsake Baby Quilts by Julie Higgins and I did the one called Butterfly Hoedown, and going to use it as a wall hanging instead of a baby quilt...

My first quilt was a lap size. The pattern was a Quilt in a Day, Morning Star or something like that It was about 12 years ago. We had an all-night quilt night at church and I made it there, with lots of encouragement from my friends.
