Love bug, HELP!!!!!!!
i've cut so many parallelograms from my accuquilt cutter over the past year out of my scrap fabrics and for the life of me Im having such a hard time sewing them.. How do I make sure the seams are even... is there a simpler way??? its gott be like diamond Im guessing, but how do you sew them too??? AAAAAAGGGHHHHHH !!! |
I would piece them in vertical strips. There is probably a little triangle that sticks out on either side when you line them up. Just make sure the triangle is the same size on each end :D:D:D
Ive tried and tried.. moving them a smidge here and a smidge there but I cant get them even.. I hate them..
do you pin?
where do you pin? there are no corner to corner match ups so how do I know where to lay my fabric??
You have to make sure that a bunny ear the size of your seam sticks out on each side.
match the centers. Mark the center of each piece and match it there.
Also when you put them together to stitch, they should be making a right angle w/ each other.
I have a problem with that too. I found the only way I could keep them straight was to mark each corner on the wrong with a pencil and put a pin through both pieces. Then with the pin still in vertical to the fabric, pinning them together on both sides of the register pin.
