Mine are hanging on pegs on the back of the door.

Mine are on my sewing table. If they need to move I put them on the dining room table. (Who needs dinner when I'm sewing )

No seriously,,,,, I hang mine in the closet between the ironing board and the spare quilting hoops.

Depends on the size. Under the bed or behind a dresser works great for me.

LOL redrummy I am primarily a costumer. I do have the quilt mats away a good bit of the time when I am working on garments. This week I have made a chamise, knickers, armor and boots.

When not in use, hanging on wall.

I have a large drafting table to do all my cutting, so both my large mats are lying on that. I used to put them standing up behind my hutch.

What I would love to have is a rotating mat, but the larger size is too expensive for me at this time.

I keep mine on the left side of my sewing table, usually buried under "stuff". OR behind the sewing table, leaning up against the wall. I usually keep something sitting in front of it to keep it from bending over and warping.

My biggest one doesn't have holes for hanging. My bigger one is only like 18 x 24.

I read a very good tip on how to store these once, and I think it was a thread on this board but not sure. Anyway, the lady said she used a plastic clothes hanger, like the kind with the clips pants usually come on, and hangs the hanger up with the cutting mat clipped in it! If you don't have one of those, you could always use a regular hanger and clothes pins.

Great Idea. I may have to use this one. Thanks

Mine stays on the sewing table. Temporarily, it may rest on the floor under the table. I know that large wall-hanging clips are available for hanging mats.
